The Evolution of Beast, God, and ManColored Pencil and ink on the back cover of a moleskin notebook.10"x8"This piece started as a draft for a tattoo design and kind of just took on a life of its own. The main figure has the body paint of a Taino warrior. His left arm becomes a wing, and also the eye of a dragon. The dragon's pupil is based on an artist's rendition of a black hole. The piece flows into various scenes and images surreally connected around the dragon's head. God is represented as a sleeping woman.

Sunset on the MountainsSpray paint on layered poster board.27"x21" Each mountain was painted separately from the background. Each piece of poster board was then layered to give the scene a three-dimensional effect.
Laundry DayChalk and oil pastels on construction paper. 17"x22.5"The outline of the figure holding the basket and towel was part of a 30-second figure drawing study. The outline was then reworked with oil pastels and colored chalk.
Three GuitarsCut paper and colored pencil on bristol board. Part of a guitar study.24"x36"I traced the colored guitar onto a sheet of black construction paper and cut it out. The negative space combined with the two cutouts results in three identical guitar outlines.
Swatch Hollow Body ElectricAcrylic on canvas board. Part of a guitar study.12”x16” The guitar is gray with white siding against a black background. Each swatch adds a layer of color, and the number of layers determines the color of the intersecting area. Paint was applied with a palette knife, and each color has a distinct pattern.

The background is inspired by stained glass and uses only cool colors. This is contrasted by the minimalist representation of a guitar in the foreground, which was inspired by John Lennon's signature self-portrait, using warm colors.

Part of a guitar study/ Part of a hand study.8"x12"Originally titled "Unfinished Piece" this painting is meant to embody the chaos that is a yet-unfinished project, whether it be writing a song, finishing a drawing, or making a PowerPoint presentation for work. The hand is, by far, the most detailed part of the drawn portion and is in the process of drawing the guitar and amplifier, which are little more than outlines.
